MI INTERACT CONFERENCE IN COPENHAGEN

Ursula Tipp and Michael O’Connor along with 150 other delegates from various countries met at the MI Interact Conference in Copenhagen where Ursula and Michael delivered a presentation on “International Licensing from Ireland”.

sarahUrsula Tipp appeared as a guest at Sarah Carey’s radio show. Sarah, UCD sociologist Tony Fahey and Ursula discussed various topics including the differences in state support for parents having a child in Ireland and having a child in Germany.

URSULA TIPP ON THE MARIAN FINUCANE SHOW

picture1aOn 22nd February 2015 Ursula Tipp appeared as a guest on Marian Finucane’s radio show. Ursula, and fellow guests Matt Carthy (MEP), Michael O’Regan (The Irish Times), Jennifer Kavanagh (Law lecturer) and Karl Deeter (The Irish Mortgage Brokers) discussed topical issues including the current crises in Greece, its implications for Ireland and other current affairs topics.

TippMcKnight attends Luxembourg Business Luncheon

DSC_0016On 28 January 2015, Ursula Tipp attended the Luxembourg Business Luncheon organised by the Belgium and Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Ireland. The Luncheon in the University Club, Dublin was opened by the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg His Excellence Mr. Patrick Engelberg and the Ambassador of Belgium His Excellence Mr. Philippe Roland. The main subject of the Business Luncheon was a presentation of the Ambassador Mr. Patrick Engelberg on the development of economic relationships between Ireland and Luxembourg.

Barcelona2On 1 December 2014 Ursula Tipp presented about Ireland as a business location and the law firm TippMcKnight to international guests during a MI InterAct meeting in Barcelona, Spain. Ursula Tipp spoke about Ireland as a location of choice for companies and the tax advantages in Ireland.

Ursula, and fellow guests, TD Regina Doherty, Brendan Ogle of UNITE, Donal Donovan (former IMF), Barry Kenny (Iarnród Éireann), discussed topical issues including tax implications created by the recent Budget and the 25th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Photo Dublin nightOn 30 October 2014, Ursula Tipp appeared as a panellist on “Tonight with Vincent Brown”. Other panel members included Arthur Beesley, Fine Gael TD Dara Murphy and Tobias Thieler of UCD. The discussion concerned the controversial establishment of Irish Water and the issue of the implementation of Water Charges. Ursula provided an insight into the comparison of the administration of Water Charges throughout Europe.

Halfpenny Bridge PicturesOn 14 October 2014, Budget 2015 was introduced by the Government. The existing rate of corporation tax was preserved at 12.5% on trading income; therefore Ireland remains an attractive location for global foreign direct investment.
