IRELAND SPAIN ECONOMIC ASSOCIATION’S WINE TASTING

Wine-Tasting-(1)As president of the Ireland Spain Economic Association Ursula Tipp addressed the wine tasting event held in the House of Lords in Dublin. ISEA members and their guests enjoyed a tasting of a variety of Spanish wines and traditional tapas.

TippMcKnight attends Luxembourg Business Luncheon

DSC_0016On 28 January 2015, Ursula Tipp attended the Luxembourg Business Luncheon organised by the Belgium and Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Ireland. The Luncheon in the University Club, Dublin was opened by the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg His Excellence Mr. Patrick Engelberg and the Ambassador of Belgium His Excellence Mr. Philippe Roland. The main subject of the Business Luncheon was a presentation of the Ambassador Mr. Patrick Engelberg on the development of economic relationships between Ireland and Luxembourg.

Barcelona2On 1 December 2014 Ursula Tipp presented about Ireland as a business location and the law firm TippMcKnight to international guests during a MI InterAct meeting in Barcelona, Spain. Ursula Tipp spoke about Ireland as a location of choice for companies and the tax advantages in Ireland.

Ursula Tipp on the Marian Finucane Show.

Japanese-Garden2On 9 November 2014 Ursula Tipp appeared as a guest on Marian Finucane’s radio show. Ursula, and fellow guests, TD Regina Doherty, Brendan Ogle of UNITE, Donal Donovan (former IMF), Barry Kenny (Iarnród Éireann), discussed topical issues including tax implications created by the recent Budget and the 25th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Guest appearance on the popular talk show “Tonight with Vincent Brown”

Photo Dublin nightOn 30 October 2014, Ursula Tipp appeared as a panellist on “Tonight with Vincent Brown”. Other panel members included Arthur Beesley, Fine Gael TD Dara Murphy and Tobias Thieler of UCD. The discussion concerned the controversial establishment of Irish Water and the issue of the implementation of Water Charges. Ursula provided an insight into the comparison of the administration of Water Charges throughout Europe.

TippMcKnight attends opening event by Austrian President

photo-national-concert-hall2On 7 October 2014, Ursula Tipp attended the inaugural meeting of the Irish-Austrian Business Forum. The Forum in the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin was opened by the President of Austria, Dr Heinz Fischer, and the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Charlie Flanagan. The Irish Austrian Business Forum was hosted by Advantage Austria, the Austrian state body with responsibility for trade promotion and for attracting foreign direct investment to Austria. Purpose of the Forum was to highlight business opportunities in both countries.

Guest Appearance on the People’s Debate with Vincent Browne

Autumn Website PicturesOn 1 October 2014, Ursula Tipp appeared as a guest speaker on the People’s Debate with Vincent Brown. The discussion focused on Budget 2015, with participant speakers debating the various potential courses of action available to the Government; such as lowering the top rate of income tax, or increasing the entry level threshold for the top rate of income tax.
